VCU Media and Culture Program

The 2018 VCU Media and Culture Program is a 3-week summer program designed for students from Chinese universities, jointly run by the VCU Global Education Office and the VCU Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture. In this program, students will receive topical lectures offered by Robertson School faculty, as well as intensive English language instruction from the CEA-accredited English Language Program.

The comprehensive classroom content is supplemented by a rich cultural program, including various educational day trips (such as those to regional media outlets) and participation in GEO initiatives (such as Globe Café). The program is structured to enable active engagement of students within both the VCU and Richmond communities, allowing a true immersion experience.

The program runs from July 6 to July 27, 2018 at VCU. An intellectually and culturally enriching experience, the program is competitive in fees and has limited seats.

Interested college students in China should contact Dr. Shujun LUO, professor of the Department of Journalism and Communication at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and co-coordinator of the VCU Media and Culture Program. Tel: +86 189-708-10966; email:
