Email Marketing Internship
Role Summary

The Email Marketing Intern will design and implement a high-performing email ecosystem
using AI tools to increase audience engagement, grow subscriber lists and drive overall
business conversions.

Key Objectives

• Build a scalable email system (not just send emails)
• Improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions
• Create reusable AI-assisted workflows

Core Responsibilities

• Audit existing email lists, segments and performance
• Update, Build or optimize email funnels (awareness → nurture → conversion)
• Write and test high-performing email campaigns (NBC, CBS, ABC features)
• Segment audience for targeted messaging
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, etc.) to generate and refine content
• A/B test subject lines and content
• Set up automation sequences (welcome, nurture, re-engagement)

Deliverables (End of Internship)

• 30–60 day email campaign calendar
• 3–5 automated email sequences (fully written + scheduled)
• Subject line testing database (minimum 30+ tested variations)
• Email performance dashboard (open rate, CTR, conversion benchmarks)
• Documented AI workflow for writing & optimizing emails
• Audience segmentation strategy

KPIs

• Open rate improvement (target: +20–40%)
• CTR increase
• Subscriber growth
• Conversion to overall sales or social engagement

 

Weekly Expectations (All Interns)

• 10–15 hours minimum productivity tracking
• Weekly deliverable submission
• 1 weekly strategy call with you
• 1 weekly performance report

Midpoint Check 

• Review results
• Adjust strategy
• Double down on what’s working

Final Week

• Present systems, not just work
• Turn everything into reusable processes
