Stravitz-Sanyal Institute for Liver Disease and Metabolic Health - Communications Intern
The Stravitz-Sanyal Institute for Liver Disease and Metabolic Health seeks applications for an enthusiastic student intern with a passion for communications and a talent for creating engaging content. The successful candidate will work with the director of communications to produce content for digital and print materials, social media and the web. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and creative individual with strong writing skills. This internship also requires organizational skills, self-motivation, and an ability to meet deadlines.
Students who qualify for federal work study will be considered for an FWS-student employee position.
Responsibilities will include:
- Research and write a variety of news stories, profiles, features, and social media content
- Conduct interviews with faculty, staff, trainees and patients as needed for stories
- Assist the director of communications with additional communications needs, such as a project for Liver Awareness Month (October)
Qualifications include:
- Junior, senior or graduate student with 3.0 GPA
- Strong writing and interviewing skills
- Strong communicator
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Organized and detail-orientated
- Self-starter
- Ability to work on computers or the ability to learn the software quickly
- Familiarity with journalism ethics
- Familiarity with AP style

- Location: MMRB (medical campus, near 12 th and Broad Sts. GRTC Pulse and Bus stop nearby.) and remote
