Internship Overview: 

Podium RVA is seeking a creative and committed Podcasting and Journalism Intern to support  our student media programs. This intern will collaborate with our middle and high school  students each week to plan, record, and produce a final video publication/journalism project over  the course of the program. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist in designing weekly media workshop content with youth. 
• Guide students through interviewing, storytelling, and journalism fundamentals. • Record and edit all audio/video content for the final project. 
• Collaborate with Podium staff to ensure youth voice is centered in the final product. • Maintain consistent weekly attendance and communication. 
• Undergo a background check prior to program start (required due to youth  involvement). 

Ideal Candidate: 

• Skilled in video/audio editing (iMovie, Adobe Premiere, or similar tools). • Passionate about youth development and digital storytelling. 
• Organized, reliable, and able to commit to weekly sessions. 
• Creative and enthusiastic about elevating youth voice.
