Marketing Internship Position – Chesterfield CASA
Organization Overview:
Chesterfield CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a nonprofit organization with a 29-year history of promoting safe, permanent homes for abused and neglected children. We achieve this mission by training and supervising volunteers to advocate for these children throughout their involvement in the juvenile court process.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Marketing Intern to assist with our marketing, communications, and outreach efforts. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing. Please note that this is an unpaid internship.
Responsibilities:
• Graphic Design: Create visually engaging materials for outreach campaigns, fundraising events, volunteer recruitment, and other organizational initiatives
• Content Creation: Assist in developing copy for our newly redesigned website (https://chesterfieldcasa.org), print materials, and other communication platforms
• Video Editing: Help produce compelling videos that highlight our mission and community impact
• Social Media Engagement: Manage and enhance our social media presence to engage with our community, raise awareness, and support fundraising efforts
• Event Promotion: Collaborate to design marketing materials and strategies for fundraising events
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong skills in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and best practices for engagement
• A passion for making a positive impact in the community
