Internship Overview
Summit Strategy Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Intern to support our public affairs, corporate reputation, and sustainability teams. This role offers hands-on experience in a consulting environment, exposure to a wide range of industries, and opportunities to contribute directly to client projects. The ideal candidate is proactive, intellectually curious, and eager to learn the fundamentals of strategic communications, reputation management, and sustainability consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Media Monitoring & Analysis – Track media coverage for clients across traditional and social channels; compile reports and identify key themes or emerging issues.
- Content Development – Draft and design social media posts, blog articles, press materials, client deliverables, graphics, and internal communications.
- Crisis and Issues Support – Assist with research, monitoring, and preparation of materials to support crisis response and reputation protection.
- Research & Insights – Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on industries, stakeholders, and competitors to inform client strategies and messaging.
- Client Engagement – Participate in team and client meetings, take notes, and support the development of presentations and briefing materials.
- Administrative Support – Help with internal documentation, scheduling, and coordination of project tasks as needed.
