Role Description
Project Management:
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Management Intern to support our team in coordinating day-to-day operations across multiple creative projects. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organized, communicative, and eager to learn about how campaigns come to life, from pitch to production to delivery.
- Assist in creating and managing project timelines, deliverables, and task assignments
- Participate in internal and client-facing meetings, taking detailed notes and following up on action items
- Support coordination between departments (creative, production, marketing, etc.) to ensure project milestones are met
- Help maintain project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Notion, Trello)
- Track and organize files, approvals, and project documentation
- Conduct research to support client strategies and internal planning
- Assist with quality control to ensure deliverables meet scope and brand standards
Social Media & Marketing Intern:
- Create and schedule social media posts across various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) to promote Newviews Productions' services and projects.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement, respond to comments and messages, and interact with followers.
- Assist in developing social media content calendars and brainstorming creative ideas for campaigns.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and provide insights to optimize future content strategies.
- Research industry trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Stay on top of community engagement.
Productions Intern:
- Assist videographers and editors in setting up equipment and filming on-location shoots.
- Participate in video editing tasks using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm video concepts and storyboards for upcoming projects.
- Conduct script research, gather visuals, and assist in scriptwriting for video content.
- Assist in quality control checks to ensure video content meets Newviews Productions' standards and client requirements.
Community Focused Communications and Research Intern:
- Background, Interest, or Experience in Public Health, Government Relations, Marketing, Public Administration, or Community Outreach desired but not required.
- Assisting the team with in-depth research to analyze key demographics and community needs
- Ensuring our initiatives align with Sentara’s brand values and goals
- Assisting in identifying impactful local partnerships by researching influencers, community leaders, and stakeholders, facilitating stronger community connections
- Help identify and recommend potential grant recipients, contributing to Sentara’s commitment to supporting local organizations that enhance community health and wellness.
- Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions, collaborating with the Newviews team to develop innovative marketing strategies and campaigns tailored to Sentara’s target audiences.
- Monitor the virtual presence of community leaders and publications
- Assisting in reporting, providing status updates and insights on community interactions to Sentara while supporting efforts to amplify community voices through initiatives like “Sentara Cares.”
- Helping to build a platform that highlights community stories, promotes equitable healthcare, and rebuilds trust in the healthcare system. This internship is an opportunity to engage with community members actively, contribute to meaningful projects, and impact community health and engagement strategies.
- Assist in researching and compiling media lists.
- Draft and proofread press releases and communication materials.
- Help coordinate media interviews and maintain media relationships.
- Contribute to content creation for press releases, blog posts, and social media.
- Support planning and organizing PR events, including logistics and materials.
- Research industry trends and monitor media coverage.
- Collaborate with team members on campaign planning and execution.
- Stay updated on PR industry trends and seek professional development opportunities.
Grant Administration Intern:
- Assist in managing and organizing grant application materials and documentation.
- Support the preparation and submission of grant proposals and reports.
- Maintain and update grant records and databases with accurate information.
- Aid in tracking grant deadlines and ensuring timely submissions.
- Research potential grant opportunities and funding sources.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information for grant applications and reports.
- Prepare and proofread correspondence related to grant administration
