Role Overview

We’re looking for a creative and energetic Social Media Intern to help us inject fun, authenticity, and trend-savvy content into our social media presence. This role is perfect for someone who loves capturing the moment, staying on top of social trends, and bringing fresh ideas that engage our community of founders and supporters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) that showcases the Lighthouse Network community, programs, and events.

  • Track and apply trending audio, memes, and social media formats to keep our content timely and engaging.

  • Collaborate with the communications/marketing team to brainstorm campaigns and storytelling ideas.

  • Attend Lighthouse events at Common House and throughout the community to document behind-the-scenes moments, founder highlights, and community energy.

  • Help schedule, post, and monitor content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms.

  • Contribute creative input to expand Lighthouse’s brand voice with fun, relatable, and shareable content.

Qualifications

  • Strong familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other short-form video platforms.

  • Interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and community building.

  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Rush, or similar tools).

  • Excellent sense of humor, creativity, and ability to spot trends early.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Prior social media or content creation experience (personal or professional) is a plus.
