About Us
Virginia Family Dentistry is a locally-owned group dental practice with 17 locations operating in the greater Richmond area since 1974. Our practice has 75 dentists and dental specialists serving patients of all ages. We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern to join our team and help us create campaigns, assets, and events that elevate our brand presence.

About the Role
As a Marketing and Communications Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working directly with our Marketing Department. This is a paid, part-time internship requiring 10 hours per week, beginning the week of February 3, 2025, and running through the spring semester, with the possibility to extend the internship through the summer.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Marketing Department in coordinating, creating, and implementing seasonal campaigns. This will include (but is not limited to) assisting with print, video, digital, social media, and web design assets.
• Assist in the organization of digital assets.
• Support event coordination for various community and sponsorship engagements.
• Contribute to content creation and scheduling for social media platforms.
• General office and project support for the Marketing Department. 
• (maybe) attend events?

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to work on computers and learn software quickly.
• Should be prepared to work in a business environment. 
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on deadline.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
• Creative thinker who can take initiative and work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to lift 30lbs

Location and Hours
This role is based in our Administrative Office in Midlothian, VA. Hours are flexible. 

Internship Training includes:

• Hands-on experience creating and implementing professional branding campaigns
• Project management, social media management, and digital asset management software
• Event management as part of brand activation and community engagement
• Mentorship and insight into healthcare marketing
