Music PR Internship Description: 

Are you a driven and creative individual with a passion for music and a knack for public relations? We are offering an exciting internship opportunity for a talented individual to join our team as a Music PR Intern. As a PR intern, you will play a vital role in expanding the reach and visibility of theMSQshop, connecting musicians and brands with relevant platforms and influencers. 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate closely with our Creative Director, to create a comprehensive PR list for theMSQshop, including submission links, contacts, and relevant information. 
• Develop and nurture relationships with local and national sites, blogs, influencers, and individuals of interest to expand the reach of theMSQshop's releases and clients. 
• Assist in building and maintaining a strong network of contacts in the music industry to maximize exposure and create new platforms for musicians and brands. 
• Submit one editorial piece and one new release per week for the blog, showcasing theMSQshop's clients and their latest works. 
• Receive guidance and training from Justin, our content expert, on writing and scheduling articles for the website. 
• Manage the social media, website and email blast activities, coordinating with the PR Intern for effective content distribution. 
• Work closely with the Event Coordinator to create write-ups and press releases for theMSQshop's internal productions and events. 
• Collaborate with the Media Intern to coordinate the inclusion of video clips and multimedia content in promotional materials. 

Requirements: 

• A genuine passion for music and a good understanding of the music industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with industry professionals. 
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail for creating engaging articles and press releases.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with PR strategies and online platforms for music promotion is a plus.
• Proficiency in website management and basic knowledge of email marketing tools is desirable.
