General job duties of Social Media & Communications Interns:
Content Support:
- Assist with planning and scheduling posts for the social media content calendar.
- Collaborate with the team to create engaging, on-brand content for various platforms.
Community Engagement:
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Help foster a positive online community that aligns with the company’s values.
Campaign Assistance:
- Support the execution of social media campaigns, including special events and product launches.
- Assist in coordinating with external partners for paid social campaigns as needed.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Help track social media performance metrics and gather data for reports.
- Provide insights and suggestions for improving engagement based on performance trends.
Research and Trends:
- Stay updated on social media trends and platform updates.
- Bring fresh ideas to the team to enhance social media presence.
Qualifications applicants should possess:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok).
- Strong written and visual communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for social media marketing and eagerness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Canva) is a plus.
This internship is offered year-round. Hours are flexible. This is an unpaid internship.
