Business and Marketing Internship

Description of Organization:

RVA Pro Wrestling is an independent wrestling federation partnered with the non profit Punks for Presents.  We provide a platform for independent wrestlers across the country to perform in front of a local Richmond audience.  We collaborate with local businesses and other organizations to provide live quality entertainment in the city for a wide demographic audience. We have hosted events at Hardywood Brewery, The ParkRVA, The Diamond, and are ever expanding.  

 

General job duties of Interns:

• Researching and writing basic announcements for social media.

• Organizing and maintaining DPOR paperwork.   Provide support in filing and mailing DPOR documents

• Research and development in ways to continue to grow and expand the business.  Such as scouting potential sponsors.

• General office and project support for the Marketing Department.

• Assisting with production on days of events.

 

Qualifications applicants should possess:

• Someone who is not necessarily a fan of the pro wrestling industry, but is familiar with the industry.

• Should be prepared to work in a business environment.

• Ability to work alone as well as part of a team.

• Someone who is willing to learn how the pro wrestling and entertainment business operates.

• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

 

Internship training includes:

• Business development skills

• Promoting and sales skills in the production and entertainment industry

• Event coordination and project management.

 

This internship is offered year-round. Hours are flexible. Applicants must be available on days of event(s).  This is an unpaid internship.
