Modern Living is looking for interns with an interest in social media, merchandising, marketing, creative writing and/or graphic design. We are a 20 year old, rapidly expanding e-commerce business. Our customer facing site is ModernNursery.com. We offer eco-friendly, designer baby gear to growing families. We are looking to better inform millennial and beyond parents that are interested in healthier products for their children!

Internship opportunities will be customized to fit your interest and abilities. Intern must be highly motivated and ready to participate in an upbeat and communal environment. Graphic Design interns must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Social Media and Marketing interns must have an eye for typography rules and some knowledge of creative programs - if not the Adobe suite, then Canva. We have opportunities available to concentrate on social media, merchandising, creative writing and/or marketing alongside a team of exciting professionals! Learn from our team, who has backgrounds including but not limited to Graphic Design, Web Development, SEO Analysis, Interior Design and more!

Social Media Potential tasks:

• Assist with Instagram influencer relations
• Direct Social Media engagement with followers
• Design and create content for Social Media posts, including video editing
• Collaborate with Director of Marketing on ideas to increase following

Marketing/Graphic Design Potential tasks:

• Track growth and engagement of audiences and learn how to evaluate analytics
• Prepare weekly analysis of site performance, learning SEO tactics and seeing their progress
• Plan out and design marketing emails
• Create icons for product collections
• Design amazon a+ content in web builder

Merchandising/Creative Writing Potential tasks:

• Create unique and engaging content for listings
• Meet with brand representatives to find ways to better sell products
• Resize and optimize images for web
• Research for and write blog posts

Location of Internship: remote

Weekly internship commitment: flexible. At least one day a week, up to 3 days per week.
