Spring 2025: Haskalah Podcast - Podcast Editing Intern (Compensation Possible)
About the Podcast:
Haskalah is a monthly podcast that explores Jewish history and Jewish ideas through in-depth discussions with scholars and thought leaders. The podcast engages with critical Jewish scholarship and traditional sources to address key questions about Jewish life, past and present.
Position: Podcast Editing Intern
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: Part-time, approximately 5–10 hours per month
Compensation: Potential for compensation
Job Duties:
- Edit monthly podcast episodes for clarity and smoothness, removing coughs, long pauses, and background noise.
- Incorporate intro and concluding music into each episode.
- Edit a separately recorded introduction into the episode.
- Collaborate with the host for potential rounds of feedback and revisions.
- Deliver finalized audio files for upload.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, GarageBand, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain audio quality.
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
- Interest in Jewish studies, history, or podcast production is a plus.
