Spring 2025: Grimalkin Records - Various Internships
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
Below are three main categories/positions for interns to choose from for the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters. Below the three main internship descriptions are several short-term in-person intern opportunities. We are also open to allowing interns to combine them into one overarching position, but would need them to specify which task(s) from each they’d be willing to commit to.

Visual Content Creation
Description: Creates digital visual content for our website, blog, social media posts, and events. Examples include posters, artist spotlight images, banner images, highlight reels, promotional gifs and short videos, and merch design. Pitches other content ideas to Grimalkin.
Requirements:
- Above all, we value open and responsive communication. Therefore, we expect all interns to reply to emails within 48 hours..
- Must be able to create at least 2 pieces of content per month — it’s up to you what those piece are.
- Must check, respond, and sign up for tasks, tag appropriate people when responding and completing tasks, and make task updates regularly on our intern Taiga board (task management & collaboration platform) at least once weekly.
- Must be relatively proficient with photo-editing and graphic design software (Experience with Canva preferred). Please send us 5-10 examples of your best work.
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with others
- Ability to manage time efficiently and check email, work documents and Taiga on a weekly basis
- Must respect pronouns of all Grimalkin members, artists, and collaborators
- Give credit where it’s due: make sure to attribute assets and copy properly (give credit to original authors/designers)
- Must email the link to your task log sheet weekly on Mondays prior to 9am EST. You can also turn it in sooner.
- Must attend one of the scheduled Open Office Hours on Zoom weekly.
Writing/Editing
Description: Writes original blog posts, edits previously written posts and web content, writes / conducts interviews, show reviews, and pitches other written content to Grimalkin.
Requirements:
- Above all, we value open and responsive communication. Therefore, we expect all interns to reply to emails within 48 hours..
- Must be able to create or edit at least 2 pieces of content per month — it’s up to you what those piece are.
- Must check, respond, and sign up for tasks, tag appropriate people when responding and completing tasks, and make task updates regularly on our intern Taiga board (task management & collaboration platform) at least once weekly.
- Must be able to communicate ideas effectively and creatively, with appeal to our mission & values. Please send us 3-5 examples of your best written work.
- Experience with Squarespace is preferred (to publish blog posts)
- Experience with SEO best practices preferred, though not necessary (we can teach you these)

Promotion + Social Media Marketing
Description: Manage OneUp and/or Grimalkin’s TikTok Account. Edit videos from our Youtube Page optimized for TikTok. Organize poster distribution for live shows, helps table at events.
Requirements:
- Above all, we value open and responsive communication. Therefore, we expect all interns to reply to emails within 48 hours.

- Experience with TikTok a must
- Video editing experience
- Ability to travel to shows and hang posters around town in a timely manner.
