Fall 2025: Start 1 Spark - Videography Intern
Position: Videographer
Reports to: Amber Lancaster, Executive Director
Position Summary: In today’s tech world, video is king! Start 1 Spark is looking for a Videographer to help produce engaging videos that highlight our impact. The Videographer will be tasked with providing guidance on the best content for videos to promote our mission. The Videographer will take raw video and create videos that showcase Start 1 Spark’s work and can be posted to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and/or Start 1 Spark’s website. The Videographer must be available to attend Start 1 Spark’s events and those of its partner schools to capture content. All videos and final content will remain the property of Start 1 Spark and cannot be used without permission.
Start 1 Spark’s mission is to provide students in need with the means to participate in their school’s extracurricular activities. The Videographer will have opportunities to engage with students, school staff, and volunteers in order to capture our mission in video content. Start 1 Spark's requirement for greater video content will allow the Videographer to hone skills in shooting and editing video in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on the content videos should contain to best promote Start 1 Spark’s mission
- Edit video content for posting to social media platforms and website
- Upload and label all videos to identified Google Drive locations
Requirements:
- Must provide own recording device and transportation
- Must present a professional appearance and friendly manner
- Must be dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of Start 1 Spark’s donors and partner school students and staff
- Detail-oriented
- Courteous and personable when dealing with the public
Time Commitment: ~8 hours per month, primarily weekday afternoons and early evenings
