Description of Organization
Founded in 2004, The McShin Foundation is Virginia's leading non-profit, full service Recovery Community Organization (RCO), committed to serving individuals and families in their fight against Substance Use Disorders. While providing the tools for recovering individuals to create positive lifestyles, we aim to spread the word of recovery and educate families, communities, and government regarding SUDs as well as reduce the negative outlook attached to them. We offer a 28-day recovery program, Richmond sober living in recovery houses, and partner with leading physicians for drug & alcohol detox.
McShin is the only RCO in Virginia accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Peer Recovery Support Services (CAPRSS).
Intern Responsibilities
- Content creation for social media engagement, staff and participant video spotlights, promotional content (video and photography) for outreach
- Setup and maintain professional audio/visual equipment
- Assist production, editing and promotion of content for Recovery community and incarcerated humans via exclusive access to Jail/prison tablets
- Live location and studio production
- Organize and maintain media
Intern Qualifications
- Video editing and production skills-Adobe/Apple/Canon
- Exclusive insight into handling compelling and impactful stories
- Ability to meet deadlines in a professional creative environment
