Internship Overview:

This internship provides students with the opportunity to integrate academic learning with meaningful professional experience. Interns will gain exposure to leadership development in action, interact with influential business and community leaders, and contribute to mission-driven programming. The role offers a well-rounded experience supporting LEAD VIRGINIA’s operations, programming, alumni relations, and special initiatives.

Internship Duration:

Fall 2025/Spring 2026

Some travel within Virginia may be available as part of the internship experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Conducting alumni interviews to gain updates and sharing them on social media
• Developing a plan to expand Lead Virginia’s use of social media platforms
• Updating and maintaining the donor database
• Updating the alumni directory on the organization’s website
• Providing communications support for the Capital Campaign
• Assisting in the creation of a special anniversary directory
• Conducting outreach and engagement efforts with alumni
• Developing, posting, and managing content across LEAD VIRGINIA’s social media platforms

The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with each member of the LEAD VIRGINIA staff:
