Job Description - Support Services Director

The Support Services Director will assist in all aspects of our day-to-day operations. We are looking for someone who would describe themselves as self-motivated, very organized, and a great multi-tasker. You will be working alongside the Executive Director/CEO as a source of administrative and operations support.

This is a part-time, hybrid position (between 15-25 hours a week). In this role, you will report to the Executive Director and work alongside the Program Manager and Family Liaison Coordinator.

Support Services Director - Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily communication and assist CEO with scheduling coordination
  • Making phone calls – integral part of this role
  • Attend weekly meetings with the entire Forward Foundation staff to review current activities and upcoming events
  • Social media content creation for IG, FB, YouTube, and LinkedIn (i.e. - create and share content intended to educate and entertain our audience)
  • Maintaining updated media packages
  • Coordination and scheduling of promotional media spots
  • Development and stewardship of community partnerships
  • Help support retention and stewardship of donors,
  • Preparation and implementation support at FF programs, workshops, and events (i.e. - our annual Celebratory Gala, Go Forward Together ride, and any other additional
    fundraising activities)
  • Coordination of vendors, general communication, and all things related to general
    operations
  • Occasional networking
  • Advisory committee coordination for programming, alumni, single dads
  • Assist CEO with any communication necessary to maintain good working relationships with support networks and community partners
  • Utilize our CRM database for notes, reporting, communication, deposits, and analysis.
  • Responsible for acknowledging and writing thank you notes to our donors and
    community partners
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Foundation by advocating and spreading awareness

One of the most important aspects of this role would be impeccable follow through; as you will be, at times, handling multiple priorities at once.

As the Support Services Director with Forward Foundation VA, you will have access to training, helpful tools, and on-going managerial support.

  • Research market trends and developments relevant to campaign subject matter
  • Proficient computer skills: including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, Canva, and Auctria
  • Able to work nights/weekends as needed for workshops, special events, or networking
  • CRM experience – we use Bloomerang to enter pertinent data, notes, and pull reports as needed
  • Education – Prefer a bachelor’s degree in communications/PR, nonprofit studies, or related field
  • Work experience – Prefer a minimum of 3+ years of operational and nonprofit experience.
