Fall 2024: Stravitz-Sanyal Institute for Liver Disease and Metabolic Health - Video Production Intern

Video Production Fall Intern/2024-25 Intern

The Stravitz-Sanyal Institute for Liver Disease and Metabolic Health seeks applications for an enthusiastic student intern with a passion for video and a talent for creating engaging content. The successful candidate will work with the director of communications to produce content for social media and the web. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and creative individual with video production and editing skills. We are looking to you to tell the stories of the institute’s faculty and efforts in an interesting and engaging way. This internship also requires organizational skills, self-motivation, and an ability to meet deadlines.

Students who qualify for federal work study will be considered for an FWS-student employee position.


Responsibilities will include: 

  • Research, film, and edit profiles, stories about research and patient care, social media content, and b-roll
  • Conduct on-camera interviews with faculty, staff, trainees, patients as needed for stories
  • Assist the director of communications with other video needs as assigned, such as content for Liver Awareness Month (October)


Qualifications include:

  • Junior or senior with 3.0 GPA
  • Strong writing and interviewing skills
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Organized and detail-orientated
  • Self-starter
  • Fluency in Adobe Premiere or similar video editing software


Additional Information:

  • When offered: Fall semester or year-round, hours are flexible 
  • Paid/unpaid/stipend: Unpaid; college credit
  • Location: West Hospital, 14th Floor; remote
