Gavin Holdgreiwe is an Academic Advisor with the Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture. Their primary duties include assisting students with class scheduling, helping new transfers transition to VCU, and promoting student retention and timely graduation. 
Holdgreiwe has experience in multiple universities across the country in a variety of student affairs roles. They have experience supporting and welcoming new students from their orientation work, promoting social justice as a member of an equity and inclusion team, and performing course management while working in student records. This varied set of skills and experience helps them be a go-to resource for any issues their students are facing.


Holdgreiwe earned their M.A. in Student Affairs Administration in 2019 from the Lewis & Clark College Graduate School of Education and Counseling in Portland, Oregon. They graduated with a bachelor's degree in Media Arts & Design (journalism concentration) in 2014 from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
