Communications Internship with VCU's Institute for Collaborative Research and Evaluation
WHAT is ICRE?
Established in 2023, the Institute for Collaborative Research and Evaluation (ICRE) in VCU’s School of Education offers flexible and wide-ranging research and evaluation services (e.g. design, implementation, analysis). ICRE provides research and evaluation support for: Nonprofit organizations, PK-12 school districts, Private schools, Governmental agencies, Institutions of higher education.
WHAT is this internship?
ICRE is seeking is seeking a communications intern for fall, spring, and summer semesters. This intern will work with ICRE staff to develop an effective communications and social media plan,
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Help ICRE to develop an effective communications, marketing, and social media plan.
- Work with ICRE staff to draft ideas for social media updates, press/news releases, etc.
- Create marketing materials to promote ICRE’s work and services to potential clients and partners Provide guidance regarding ICRE’s website.
WHAT are the qualifications?
- Candidates should have strong interpersonal, writing and skills.
- Knowledge of journalism and public/media relations.
- Knowledge of and experience with social media platforms
- Knowledge of or ability to produce basic graphic design projects
- Ability to work independently.
- Computer access to complete work related to the internship.
