ABOUT SHOOD

Shood is a Richmond-based nonprofit that provides new or like-new running shoes to underserved individuals and student-athletes. Since 2017, we have distributed more than 40,000 pairs of shoes throughout Central Virginia, removing barriers to movement while promoting health, confidence, and dignity.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Shood is seeking a creative Fall 2026 Intern to help grow our social media presence, tell our story, and support community outreach efforts.

As we expand partnerships, strengthen relationships with running shoe companies, and plan large-scale shoe giveaway events, you'll help tell our story and showcase our impact while gaining real-world experience.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

• Create Reels, short-form videos, photography, and social media content
• Capture and edit content highlighting Shood's impact
• Interview student-athletes, coaches, volunteers, donors, and community partners
• Help promote upcoming shoe giveaway events
• Assist with outreach to brands, donors, and nonprofit partners
• Contribute creative ideas to increase awareness and engagement

Ideal candidates are creative, self-motivated, organized, and excited to build a professional portfolio while making a meaningful community impact.
