Fall 2026: Savvy By Design - PR & Brand Partnerships Intern

==============================
PR & BRAND PARTNERSHIPS INTERN
Savvy By Design | Fall 2026
==============================

Savvy By Design is looking for a smart, curious communications or marketing student who wants hands-on experience building the visibility of a growing interior design brand.

This isn't an internship where you'll spend the semester making copies or watching someone else work. You'll work directly with founder and designer Brooke Robertson to help identify and pursue real opportunities for press coverage, partnerships, collaborations and brand growth.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

• Research media outlets, journalists, editors, podcasts and other opportunities relevant to interior design, real estate, renovation and entrepreneurship
• Help develop and execute PR strategies for completed design projects and company initiatives
• Research editorial calendars and submission opportunities for regional and national publications
• Help write and refine pitches, project narratives, press materials and submissions
• Identify designers, creators, brands and organizations for potential collaborations
• Research strategic partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
• Help maintain an organized pipeline of media and partnership opportunities and track results
• Explore how AI tools can make PR research, media monitoring and outreach more effective
• Participate in brainstorming around positioning, storytelling and brand strategy

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

You'll get an inside look at how a small business builds credibility and awareness without a giant advertising budget. You'll learn how to identify a genuinely good media opportunity, develop a compelling story angle, communicate with journalists and potential partners, and measure whether a PR strategy is actually working.

By the end of the semester, you should have tangible work and measurable outcomes you can discuss in future interviews—not simply a list of internship duties.

WHO WOULD BE GREAT AT THIS

You may be a good fit if you're studying communications, public relations, marketing or a related field and you're:

• A strong writer and communicator
• Naturally curious and good at research
• Organized enough to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines
• Comfortable taking initiative rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions
• Interested in media, branding, design, entrepreneurship or emerging technology
• Excited to experiment with AI as a professional marketing and research tool

SCHEDULE & MENTORSHIP

The position is primarily remote and intentionally flexible around a student's academic schedule. Interns will generally meet with Brooke via Zoom 1–2 times per week for strategy, mentorship, feedback and project review, with additional collaboration among the Marketing Innovation Team as appropriate.
