Campaign Internship Program with the Georgia Coordinated Campaign 

BACKGROUND 

Ground Game Georgia, the official coordinated campaign of the Democratic Party of Georgia, seeks highly motivated student campaign interns to join our team. In-state campaign interns will participate both in-person and virtually, while out-of-state interns will exclusively participate virtually. Campaign interns will be required to commit 8-16 hours per week to the campaign. Interested applicants have until October 10 to apply, and applicants will be considered on a rolling basis. 

Campaign interns will have the opportunity to meaningfully contribute and help Georgia Democrats win a historic election up and down the ballot on November 3. Interns will learn the ins and outs of political campaigning, and develop critical strategic skills in terms of campaign direct voter contact and outreach. 

Georgia will be one of the most competitive and critical battleground states in the nation this November. In 2026, Democrats will be defending the seat of Senator Jon Ossoff, the most vulnerable incumbent Democratic Senator seeking re-election in the country. Additionally, Democrats have the chance to flip the offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General, as well as the Georgia House of Representatives. 

Campaign Intern Responsibilities 

• Assist the organizing department with different tasks such as direct voter contact, data management, as well as the training, recruitment and management of volunteers.
• Develop communication and organizational skills from organizing team leadership.
• Learn the best methods for identifying, organizing, and mobilizing voters.
• Participate in professional development sessions, and build a network in the campaign industry.
