Fall 2026: Dorm Drop - Campus Ambassador / Social Media Intern (Compensation)

Dorm Drop Campus Ambassador Program Guidelines

Program Overview

Dorm Drop Campus Ambassadors help introduce Dorm Drop to students, families, and campus communities by creating authentic college content, promoting the brand on campus and supporting key marketing initiatives throughout the academic year.

These Guidelines are incorporated into and form part of the Dorm Drop Campus Ambassador Agreement. If there is a conflict between these Guidelines and the Agreement, the Agreement controls.

Ambassador Benefits

Campus Ambassadors will receive:

  • Dorm Drop swag and branded merchandise to be worn at events and tablings
  • One complimentary Dorm Drop box per month that will be used for content
  • Opportunities for paid events
    • $20/hour compensation for campus events, tabling, and promotional activities approved by Dorm Drop in advance. Only preapproved event hours are eligible for payment.

Ambassador Responsibilities

Social Media:

Ambassadors are expected to create and share one original short-form video each week featuring Dorm Drop. This may be posted as a TikTok or Instagram Reel. Weekly content creation and ordinary ambassador activities are not separately paid; hourly compensation applies only to campus events or promotional work approved by Dorm Drop in advance.

Content should feel authentic, creative, and align with Dorm Drop’s brand values of care, connection, and belonging.

Examples include:

  • Unboxing videos
  • Move-in or campus lifestyle content
  • Self care videos using product
  • Get ready with me
  • Videos with friends showing student life
  • Sharing Dorm Drop promotions, events or things coming up

Instagram Stories:

Instagram stories are encouraged as additional engagement and may count toward program requirements up to two times per month when they include meaningful interaction such as:

  • Polls or question boxes
  • Behind the scenes content
  • Unboxing or product demonstration
  • Event coverage
  • Links or calls-to-action
  • Other interactive content that encourages engagement

Simple photos of a Dorm Drop box without additional context or interaction will not count toward content requirements.

Unless Dorm Drop approves removal in advance, required content must remain publicly available for the duration of the ambassador’s participation. Instagram Stories and other platform features that expire automatically are excluded from this requirement.

Ambassadors must clearly disclose their relationship with Dorm Drop in promotional content and use any disclosure language or hashtags provided by Dorm Drop, such as “Dorm Drop Campus Ambassador,” “gifted,” or another required disclosure.

Ambassadors retain ownership of their original content but grant Dorm Drop ongoing permission to use, edit, repost, and repurpose content created through the Program in accordance with the Campus Ambassador Agreement.

Campus Engagement

Ambassadors may be invited or asked to participate in campus events and should make reasonable efforts to attend when available. If unable to participate, ambassadors should communicate with the Program Manager or Chief Executive Officer as early as possible. Ambassadors may be asked to:

  • Represent Dorm Drop at campus events or specials weekends, such as Family Weekend
  • Assist with tabling opportunities and other promotional events
  • Share promotional materials, including posting flyers and promoting campaigns through social media
  • Help increase awareness of Dorm Drop and encourage student and family engagement through on-campus promotions and events
  • Provide feedback on students interests, trends and campus culture
  • Connect with relevant university departments and student organizations to identify opportunities for Dorm Drop participation at campus events
