virginia asian chamber of commerce – www.aabac.org- downtown richmond location office seeks serious and eager to learn students interested in obtaining a unique learning experience in business, marketing, community outreach, and event management in a multi-cultural business- community development environment.
Ideal opportunity for students majored in: marketing- communications- political sciences- international studies - journalism- or related majors.
worksite location: downtown richmond area at the lobby of downtown richmond suntrust bank headquarters- 919 east main st, richmond, and work at remote location (per arrangements)
internship schedule : flexible allowing interns to complete projects on site or off site supervision- mentoring will be part of the internship.
# of positions: 3 positions- schedule: between 10 and 4 pm - monday to friday in downtown richmond – both part time and full time for summer - non paid internship – we offer referrals to corporations for career explorations .
academic credit: academic credit can be arranged. this intense internship as earned undergraduate and graduate students for academic credits at the 3.00 or 4.00 credit level classes, or direct study.
task description: tasks will be customized for each student based on students major and interest. will work under the supervision of a dept manager.
majority of tasks are professional level:
website maintenance (ex: wordpress ) and marketing tools
event management assistance
social media and marketing responsibilities (face book-twiiter- website mainstenance- writing content for newsletters- executing marketing tools and software)
event management – logistics- busienss trade shows- match making events management skills
graphic design experience an interest a plus.
qualifications:
sophomore level and up - graduate and undergraduate s. must have lap tops.
