Summer 2018: Endeavor RVA - Photography/Cinematography/Animation Intern

Posted in: Advertising internships, Internships & scholarships, Journalism internships, Public Relations internships
Endeavor RVA is a visual art studio, gallery and marketplace. As an organizational entity we plan studio visits, a variety of events and manage opportunities for our 3 in-house artists to gain visibility. For example, we seek out and receive opportunities such as magazine and article features in an effort to drive traffic from our brand and physical space to the sale of fine artwork. Additionally, we work with businesses and other individuals to provide opportunities for other aspiring and established Richmond artists.
Occasionally on the first Friday of the month we host a First Fridays Art Walk Event where we feature the work of other local artists around a themed show. At these events, we open our marketplace which features small works from our in-house artists, out of house artists and local businesses. Visit our programs page to understand more about our regular business activities.
Photography/ Cinematography/ Animation Internship:
Interns would meet with the Creative Director and the Public Relations/Marketing manager on a regular basis depending on the number of internship hours included in the academic requirements. At these meetings said intern would be debriefed on and contribute to the current creative direction and completion of business objectives of Endeavor Studios as well as provide and relevant feedback as it pertains to their craft. The primary responsibilities of this internship is to take pictures and/or video of our events and our artists' developing projects. Given the ability to work reliably independently this position will give our intern a fair degree of creative freedom to pursue media creation projects with our brand.

- Previous involvement in creative events and/or projects
- Understanding of photographic composition and industry-specific vernacular
- Knowledge of and participation in Richmond's Creative Scene
