Location Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Virginia Department of Health, Division of Community Nutrition (Richmond, VA)
Position Description The WIC Community Outreach Intern will assist in conducting and analyzing the annual participation satisfaction survey.
Accountabilities Analyze survey results and create graphs & charts to display data Attend WIC team and other meetings as needed Answer survey related questions as requested Attend trainings in order to gain a better understanding of WIC and strategic partners

Qualifications Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience with survey programs Excellent customer service skills Ability to work independently Ability to commit to a regular work schedule Dependability Flexibility High attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Ability to work with a diverse staff and participant population Fluency in Spanish a plus but not required Excellent communication skills
Other Skills Necessary Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time & lift medium sized boxes of information Ability to stay focused and meet deadlines
Supervision Reports to Division of Community Nutrition’s Community Outreach Coordinator
Time Commitment 15-40 hours/week Summer (May 2017 – August 2017)
