About Us: Liivee is an online, free public artist/designer directory and magazine created by VCU alumni to help get artists and designers more recognition in the art world. We currently have over 1200 artists and designers listed on our site and we are actively getting more to join. On Liivee, we have artist’s profiles listed as well as competitions, exhibits, jobs, scholarships, news articles about artists and designers across the globe, and a weekly newsletter that it sent out to all subscribers.
General Duties of Intern: ● Research, contact, and interview local artists, designers, VCU art faculties and students. ● Write articles about artists and designers, as well as other art-related topics to be published and featured on Liivee ● Create weekly newsletter ● Assist and provide support for the general office and Editorial Department
Qualifications--Ideal Candidate Should: ● Have strong writing skills ● Be knowledgeable about working on computers ● Have the ability to work with and meet a deadline ● Have the capability to work both with a team as well as alone ● Take initiative and be able to prioritize their work ● Be willing to schedule and complete interviews with local artists, designers, galleries etc. ● Have some interest in art and in what they write for us
This internship is unpaid, and offered year-round. Qualified candidates can apply for a paid position after the end of the internship. Interested applicants should email their resume, and a minimum of two writing samples to:
