Northam for Governor is looking for ambitious, hardworking students and recent graduates who are interested in interning to learn the ins and outs of a political operation. If you aspire to work on a campaign this is a great opportunity to add experience to your resume and network in Virginia politics.
Based in Richmond, the position will introduce interns to:
- Fundraising 101
- Research and tracking skill
- Press and political messaging
Applicants for the position should have:
- A positive attitude and be eager to learn
- Great attention to detail
- No fear of picking up the phone or speaking to new people
- Solid Excel, database, and online researching skills
Internships are full or part time, though we require at least 10 hours a week. The position is not paid but we are happy to comply with any necessary paperwork for course credit. Applicants should have a laptop, cell phone, and ability to get to our office in downtown Richmond. Please only apply if you're able to be in the Richmond office.
