TheMSQShop is a company that helps with the promotion and coverage of indie artists from all over the United States.

We launched in February 2021 and now have an office at 318 West Broad Street RVA 23220 in the building known as The Collective (@CollectiveRVA), which is a store and multi-purpose facility.

theMSQshop office is under the supervision of the OG design, LLC, which is a content creation and creative directing brand.

The roles of the internship would mostly be covering email submissions that we get from a variety of PR personnel, managers, and music artists. Other duties would include social media management, mostly the Instagram page we have with posting and interacting with our followers on the timeline.

** We are incredibly open to any available ideas for the intern to present whether it’s covering an artist or event of choice, creating new segments for the website via Wix, or aiding in event planning for the office space.

Our multi-purpose space (which includes a thirty-foot infinity wall, podcast station, and more) can be used for photoshoots, video recordings, pop-up shops, live events, and meetings. Equipped with professionals for content creation to propel theMSQshop and theOGdesign.

An in-person meeting would be needed once a week to touch base on what needs to be done and assess performance. If the student is fully remote doing online learning, an online meeting would be needed once a week.

Possible areas of internship work are:

- Social media management
- Content writing
- Business management
- SEO Research
- Video and audio editing

The minimal number of hours needed for the internship would be 100 hours, which would make it a two-credit internship. Weekly check-ins would be needed to approve of hours either during an in-office meeting or online with the head writer/editor Justin.

Writing and editing experience is highly recommended. Videography and Adobe experience are preferred.
