Interns in this position would learn event coordinating skills by assisting in the planning of the 28th Annual Richmond Tattoo, Art and Music Festival, and also would assist with the daily responsibilities associated with running a successful custom tattoo shop.
This is NOT a tattoo apprenticeship.
This internship is a great opportunity for students pursuing degrees in the following fields:
Responsibilities of the event coordinating intern include:
-Research fundraising opportunities and acquire sponsors for the event.
-Maintain positive relationships with sponsors of the festival.
-Respond to email inquiries from talent, exhibitors, sponsors, and other convention staff members.
-Data entry and logging applications related to registration.
Additional responsibilities of the intern:
-Answering telephone and in-person inquiries related to tattooing, tattoo artists, and scheduling.
-Making artist recommendations to clients seeking tattoo appointments.
-Offering guidance on basic tattoo aftercare.
-Basic maintenance and upkeep of the tattoo shop.
-Assist the shop manager with taking inventory of supplies
-Internship must be completed for school credit.
-Minimum commitment of 4 hours a week with the opportunity for additional hours.
-Proficient in Google Drive (specifically Google Sheets), and Gmail.
-Professionalism, ambition, and an independent work ethic.
-Organization, enthusiasm and self motivation.
-Possess time management skills, punctuality.
-Must demonstrate reliability and an eagerness to learn.
This is an unpaid internship.
