Spring 2019: WVEC - Communications Intern (PAID)

WVEC is in search of talented college students looking for enriching paid internship opportunities.  Come join WVEC, the ABC affiliate in the Norfolk/Hampton Roads market and a division of TEGNA, for our 2018 Spring Intern Program.

As part of the WVEC team, you will develop, integrate and apply various learnings in support of our News, Production and Creative Services Departments.  Marketing students are encouraged to apply as well.  This program offers mentoring from those at the top of their game, networking and real work experience in a fun, entrepreneurial atmosphere.  As part of our team, you will work on meaningful and impactful projects as well as connect with other interns and engage in professional development activities supplemental to the job.  Come join us!

Applicants should be well versed in local, national and world events.  They should also be self-starters with strong computer and writing skills.



  • Must be a junior or senior enrolled college student for credit pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a GPA of at least
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, adaptable and flexible
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
