Part Time: This position is currently offered on a part-time basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

An eagle eye for accuracy, familiarity with content management systems, and an understanding of digital marketing may be your ticket to a part-time, school-year internship in the communications department of our Richmond-based nonprofit.

We are seeking a responsible self-starter with a clear, concise writing style who wants to learn from our team of seven professionals and is available to work a consistent schedule in our West End office.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Updating website content
  • Creating and managing email campaigns to promote educational events
  • Planning, writing and posting social media content
  • Researching and writing fact sheets and other informational materials

Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, plus the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Previous experience writing and editing for publication, using social media, creating email marketing campaigns or updating website content using WordPress is desirable.
