The Visual Arts Center of Richmond is looking for a spring intern in its marketing and communications department.

The Visual Arts Center of Richmond is a community arts center in the heart of Richmond, Virginia’s historic Fan District. For more than five decades, VisArts has helped adults and children explore their creativity and make great art. Each year, VisArts offers more than 900 visual and creative arts classes and touches the lives of more than 33,000 people through its classes, community outreach programs, camps, workshops and special events.
About the Internship

High-energy students who are great writers and passionate about art will thrive at this fast-paced non-profit. You’ll get experience in media relations, social media, writing and designing for print and electronic publications and more. Plan on promoting our big art auction as well as our spring open house and summer camp programming. Other duties as assigned.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the marketing and communications coordinator.

Duration and Hours

We’re looking for someone who can make a 15-hour week commitment for the spring semester.


This position is unpaid but can be completed for academic credit.
