To report to the company’s CEO & Lead Publicist
The company’s PR team seeks to provide independent musicians with the tools and tactics they need to navigate the “business” side of the music industry. This includes, but is not limited to press kits, media lists, pitch templates & on-the-ground coaching. It will involve 3-5 office hours each week, and 5-10 “remote” hours in between meetings.
The PR Intern will play a vital role in the promotions process, helping the team develop assets that will aid independent musicians’ efforts to take strategic “next steps” in their music career. The role will require excellent communication and organization skills, self-motivation, a strong attention to detail… and an undeniable passion for music!

-Ability to identify and articulate publications suitable to a specific musician or genre
-Experience finding contact information and building clear and organized media lists
-Strong detective skills & figure-it-out-ability when answers aren’t immediately clear
-Highly organized and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
-Someone who is good at following directions and asking for help when it’s needed
-A love for connecting the dots and seeing that all involved parties see mutual benefit
-Organization, Attention to detail
-Comfort with MS Excel, MS word, Google Drive
-SEO/SEM to be used for finding relevant material
-Copywriting skills desired, but not required
BA or student in PR/Communications Field
Hands on experience and/or work samples as available
