Rebuilding Together Richmond (RTR) is an affiliate of Rebuilding Together, the only national nonprofit solely dedicated to preserving affordable homeownership through home rehabilitation services. We bring volunteers together to repair the homes of low-income homeowners in Richmond, Hopewell and Petersburg. We have improved over 1,300 homes during our 25 years of service.

RTR is seeking a motivated candidate for a communications internship position. This internship will focus on increasing brand awareness and further distinguishing Rebuilding Together Richmond from other housing non-profits in the area (i.e. Habitat for Humanity). Our communications intern will also assist with executing our newly developed communications plan and assist with marketing our upcoming National Rebuilding Day and Volunteer Appreciation Event.

Our communications intern should demonstrate strong writing skills, as they will be called upon to assist with writing and editing our website and posting information on our social networking platforms. Candidates should be able to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere. Applicants should also be highly organized and knowledgeable of online communications and social networking sites, such as Constant Contact, Hootsuite, Facebook and Instagram.

This is an un-paid position; we require a minimum of 10 hours per week.

Apply: Send resume to Malcolm Jones at malcolm@rebuildingtogetherrichmond.org.
