Location: Glen Allen, Virginia

Time Period: January 2018 to May 2018 (Spring 2018 Semester)

Hours: 10 -15 hours/week

Description: This marketing internship is intended to foster core marketing and communication values in a fast-paced, business-to-business environment. Background Required: - Junior or senior undergraduate standing - Must be a part of an intern academic credit program - Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising major - Excellent communication and writing skills, work ethic, and ability to creatively solve situations - Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Additional experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects preferred but not required - Experience with social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Excel) - Photography and videography experience

Duties: The intern’s primary responsibility is to assist the marketing department with ongoing projects for both Cobb Technologies and its 501(c)(3) charitable arm, Imprint. The intern will primarily be in charge of Cobb’s social media efforts, but will also assist in collateral design, copywriting, research, social media, and event planning as needed. In addition to social media calendar management, they will assist in researching and writing articles/blog posts for the organization. The intern will participate in Marketing Steering Committee meetings and cross departmental meetings and will be asked to attend events (when available). Students will be asked to complete learning reflections at 8 weeks, and in the last week of their internship.

Compensation: The Marketing Intern will be paid $8.50/hour and must be part of an intern academic credit program.
