Overview: Richmond Justice Initiative is a faith-based, grassroots nonprofit that has been working to curb the issue of human trafficking - the sale and exploitation of human beings for profit - since 2009. Our mission is to educate, equip, and mobilize communities with the tools needed to be a force in the global movement to end human trafficking. Our main focus is preventing trafficking among the teen population through our signature, award-winning Prevention Project® program. This 6-lesson curriculum has reached schools here in Henrico and also across other areas of Virginia and in 5 other states. We not only teach students about the lures of trafficking, but we invest in them as leaders of their generation.
