Keep Virginia Beautiful is a state-wide non-profit organization that focuses on litter prevention, waste reduction, recycling, beautification and environmental education.  Initiatives and events planned to continue into 2017 include a Love Virginia campaign, the 3rd Annual Shiver In The River Winter Festival in January, Get Caught In A Beautiful Act Awards, 30 Grants in 30 Days, a Cigarette Litter Prevention Campaign in RVA,  and the KVB Golf Tournament.  KVB is very active with social media and always looking for individuals to help us share our message and the opportunities to engage individuals.  We are specifically seeking a person with some video production and video editing skills that can help shoot new short videos as well as edit our existing videos to be used effectively on social media.

If there are any students interested in working in marketing, communications or for a non-profit in the future, this is the great internship and opportunity for you.  You will get a firsthand look at how non-profits run, as well as a chance to meet other professionals in the environmental sector, attend board meetings and work special events put on by Keep Virginia Beautiful!  This position is unpaid, somewhat flexible and can require approximately 10 to 15 hours a week.  The KVB office is located in the Innsbrook area and the candidate will need transportation but some activities/tasks can be done out of the office.  If interested, please email a resume and brief letter of interest to Mike Baum at mbaum@keepvirginiabeautiful.org.
