The Fan District Association is a non-profit dedicated to preserving, restorating and improving the Fan neighborhood surrounding VCU. The FDA represents residential owners, renters, businesses, educational and religious entities within our boundaries at the local and state level. Fanfare Magazine is the quarterly magazine of the FDA since 1961 that will publish a fall and spring issues this school year. Paper copies of Fanfare are mailed and hand distributed to over one thousand ultra-local families, sponsors, and community partners. The internship program at the Department of Health Professions (DHP) provides an opportunity to spend a semester working side-by-side with knowledgeable staff in an environment devoted to protecting the public. Our mission is to ensure safe and competent patient care by licensing health professionals, enforcing standards of practice, and providing information to healthcare practitioners and the public. DHP consists of over 250 licensing/discipline specialists, investigators, inspectors, legal and administrative professionals working at its headquarters in Henrico, VA and throughout the Commonwealth.

The Bar Method is a barre fitness franchise that specializes in one hour fitness classes centered around the use of a ballet barre. It is not a dance related exercise,but rather a top to bottom total body workout where ladies and gentlemen use their own natural body's resistance to perform small isolated holds and moves that promote the production of long lean flexible muscles that are therefor less prone to injury. There are over 115 Bar Methods across the US and Canada.

Founded in Richmond in January 2015 as PartyRVA, the startup's award-winning platform has been named "Best Regional Startup 2015" in the i.e. Competition as well as "Best Startup" in START!Peninsula 4.0 and by Capital One Labs. The startup was accelerated by Lighthouse Labs RVA Accelerator Program and by the DC I-Corps Regional Training Program. In 2016, the startup changed the name to OccasionGenius for a national launch. It opened in Charlotte, NC in 2016 and plans to expand to several more markets in 2017.
