Who we are: a talk show that is equal parts poetry, art, and social change. A 55-minute radio-friendly version of each episode airs every Monday at 11 am on WRIR-LP 97.3 FM (Richmond Independent Radio), with uncut versions being released on our website and podcast. The format is interview based for the most part, though we're increasingly interested in producing special episodes with more of a documentary or narrative style. Additionally, we produce web-exclusive content for our side project, Crows & Pawns, a loose discussion on pop culture. Recently, the Prose & Cons team hosted its first solo live event, with plans to host this event regularly. We're also interested in publishing zines and chapbooks, as well as producing additional audio and video content for several planned projects.

Virginia Capitol Connections, Inc., is a public relations and communications firm that publishes a quarterly political affairs magazine, Virginia Capitol Connections, which features articles on important public policy and political issues written by leading legislators, executive branch officials, political scientists, lobbyists, and other noteworthy persons. We are looking for a senior level intern who is interested in marketing or business, and would like to solicit ads, large and small for this magazine. This will be a learning experience, and does not pay a wage. However, the intern will receive a commission for every ad sold. The American Civil War Museum (ACWM) is a multi-site museum dedicated to the history and legacies of the American Civil War. The mission of The ACWM is to be the preeminent center for the exploration of the American Civil War and its legacies from multiple perspectives: Union and Confederate, enslaved and free African Americans, soldiers and civilians. In Richmond, the museum operates two sites: The White House of the Confederacy and ACWM at Historic Tredegar. The museum maintains a comprehensive collection of artifacts, manuscripts, imprints (books and pamphlets), and photographs.
