Keep Virginia Beautiful (KVB) is a state-wide non-profit organization that focuses on litter prevention, recycling, and beautification. Initiatives and events planned to continue in 2021 include 30 in 30 Green Grants, various cleanups, the Adopt-a-Highway program with VDOT, and Shiver In Virginia in late February. In addition, KVB is very active with social media and launched a new website in June. We are looking for individuals to help us share our message and engage individuals. Excellent writing skills and/or video production/editing skills would be ideal. If you are interested in working in marketing, PR, and communications, this is the great internship for you. You will get a firsthand look at how non-profits run, as well as a chance to meet other professionals in the environmental sector, attend board meetings and work special events put on by Keep Virginia Beautiful!
There is a need for a student intern(s) during the Spring semester (and can start earlier if desired). This position is unpaid, normally able to get school credit, flexible and requires approximately 10 to 12 hours a week. The KVB office is located in the West end area and the candidate will need transportation but a lot of activities can be done remotely (especially during the current Covid situation). If interested, please email a resume and brief letter of interest to Mike Baum at email@example.com.
