Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce – www.aabac.org - Downtown Richmond location office seeks qualified Communications major students interested in obtaining a unique hands-on professional development internship experience.
Our internship programs expose students to different facets of the real world through experiential learning that includes working on:
- communications- writing-social media
- event management
- graphic design-illustration
for the right student, mentoring and coaching will be a large part of the internship program.
Worksite location: downtown richmond area at the lobby of downtown richmond suntrust bank headquarters- 919 east main st, richmond on vcu bus line. virtual assignment also available.
Internship schedule: 8-10 hours weekly.
mentorship: we have a corporate agreement working with local companies offering mentorship to all interns.
# of positions: 2 positions- schedule: between 10 and 5 pm - monday to friday + week end hours for those interested in week ends projects. This is a non paid internship for credit or non credit.
Academic credit: academic credit can be arranged for 3.00 or 4.00 credit level classes or direct study.
Intern task description: tasks will be customized for each student based on students major and interest: easy website maintenance (ex: word press ), marketing/social media, with light data entry, data management. Graphic design experience a plus. Both domestic and international business projects are available.
Qualifications:
1.basic writing and communications skills required.
