Hours: 10-15 hours a week onsite
Compensation: Credit only, unpaid

The Broad and you:
The Broad is looking for a Marketing & Brand Strategy Intern to help grow its community space in downtown Richmond. The Broad is a womxn-focused community center where we can learn from each other, a workspace where we can get it done, and a clubhouse where we can connect IRL - a place that exists to make more space for womxn in Richmond, in our community, and in our world.

The Broad has been featured in Architectural Digest as one of the best designed co-working spaces for womxn in the country - and we only opened in February 2018! This is your chance to get in on the ground floor of an innovative and creative business, right here in Richmond. You’ll work directly with the Founder of The Broad and will gain hands-on experience in running and growing a brand.

Responsibilities may include:
● Work directly with the Founder to execute our comprehensive communications plan for fall 2019 including work in the following channels:
○ Instagram: Weekly content creation, scheduling, design, and copywriting for posts, stories, and highlights; assistance with audience engagement and discovery
○ Facebook: Weekly content creation, scheduling, design, and copywriting for events and business page
○ Mailchimp: Weekly member email curation and twice-a-month follower email curation; updates of recurring email campaigns for member management, email/reach analytics
○ Eventbrite: Event management, creating branded assets, maintaining the event calendar
● Assist in the development of creative materials including in-space signage, social media graphics, etc.
● Assist with event production from concept to day-of-management
● Conduct brand research and programming audits - provide reports to Founder on areas for potential service or
programming expansion
● Be an in-person representative for The Broad brand for members and guests utilizing the space and assist with
day-to-day operations of a thriving workspace and social club

Key Qualities include:
● Strong customer service/hospitality experience
● Solution-centric collaborator with strong verbal and written communication skills
● Highly organized with the ability to multitask projects through from start to finish
● Highly self-motivated and attentive to detail
● Creativity and an eye for detail and ability to align with the brand aesthetic
● Experience working with Instagram Planoly, Canva, Eventbrite, Squarespace, Mailchimp
● Comfort with copywriting and translating brand language across platform
● Interest in events, programming, and other experiential marketing efforts
● Ready to WORK - you get out what you put in at a startup!
