The Visual Arts Center of Richmond is looking for an intern for its marketing and communications department.

The Visual Arts Center of Richmond is a non-profit community art center in the heart of Richmond, Virginia’s
historic Fan District. For more than five decades, VisArts has helped adults and children explore their creativity
and make great art. Each year, then center offers more than 1,000 visual and creative arts classes and touches
the lives of more than 40,000 people through its classes, community outreach programs, camps, workshops
and special events.

About the Internship
High-energy students who are great communicators and passionate about art will thrive at this fast-paced
non-profit. Interns support the marketing team as they promote VisArts’ classes, special events and
exhibitions. There are opportunities to get experience with media relations, social media, website management, content creation, photography/video and more.

Reporting Structure
This position reports to the marketing and communications coordinator.

Duration and Hours
We’re looking for someone who can make a 15-hour week commitment for the fall, spring, winter or summer

This position is unpaid but can be completed for academic credit. Marketing interns get one free class at
