Fall 2018: The Branch Museum of Architecture & Design - Communications Intern

The Communications Intern provides support to The Branch Museum by generating and sending outward-facing content. This intern will create images and copy for newsletters, print advertisements, social media, and press releases, and execute other related administrative duties.

Responsibilities:
 Assist in designing and creating specific social media strategy and campaigns
 Responsible for creating social media content on Instagram and Facebook
 Responding to social media inquiries and requests
 Research trending topics and appropriate hashtags
 Track growth post engagement on social media platforms and growth of Branch digital presence
 Various writing tasks to include press releases, email marketing, and website content
 Developing and maintaining media lists
 Tracking social media coverage
 Other duties as assigned

Requirements: Highly detail-oriented and responsible. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work
independently on multi-day projects. Must be an excellent writer with the ability to write clearly for audiences
of all ages. Must be comfortable with social media platforms, and the best practices for managing a professional
account. Must have experience communicating with media outlets, PR professionals, and designers.

Schedule: 15 hours per week
