Fall 2018: Richmond Friends of the Homeless - Communications/Marketing Specialist

Oct 1, 2018

Posted in: Advertising internships, Internships & scholarships, Journalism internships, Public Relations internships

We are in need of a Communications/Marketing Specialist to help us set up and manage a Go Fund Me (or similar format) to raise funds to allow us to provide a special Christmas Day for our guests at RFH.

For thirty two years we have been providing nourishing meals and services for homeless veterans, seniors barely existing on Social Security, children with inadequate food at home, the working poor, those battling addictions and mental health problems…, women and children of all ages in need of nutritious meals and services.

Christmas is a special time of year.  We want our guests to know they are special and a valued member of the community.  Each year we hold an incredible Christmas Day Banquet which includes a Christmas gift bag for everyone attending.  This “Christmas for All” has become a favorite day of the year for our guests….men, women and children alike.

Intern will be guided and supervised throughout the process.  A strong desire to impact the lives of those in need is essential.
