Fall 2017: Virginia House Democratic Caucus - Communications Intern

The Virginia House Democratic Caucus is looking for enthusiastic and committed communications interns to help our team until Election Day. You’ll be working with our communications team to help amplify our message through the media. The ideal candidates will be hard workers with an interest in Democratic politics.
We are somewhat flexible with scheduling, but interns must be willing to commit to at least 15 hours a week.
Organizing and tracking press clips
Helping to build, grow and maintain press lists
Transcribing video and maintaining a video library
May have opportunities to provide campaigns with social media support and be involved in various writing projects
Must be able to commit at least 15 hours a week
Working towards a degree in a communications or political field
The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality, with the ability to speak confidently with candidates and their staff
Communications experience is a plus, but not mandatory
